Big Success for Anniversary Fundraiser

Thanks to the generosity of kind donors, the Albany Helping Hands 18th Anniversary Fundraiser was a huge success, said John Donovan, development director of Albany Helping Hands.

The campaign goal: to raise $18,000. Our anniversary fundraiser was a smashing success, raising more than 125 percent of our goal.

Acting executive director Wayne Oakes stated, “I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you, not only as individuals but as a community.” When asked about the outcome, Wayne exclaimed, “What a success! We surpassed our goal thanks to the generosity, compassion and kindness of donors, raising $22,547.”

We would also like to give special recognition to our media partners, KLOO AM & FM, KSHO, KGAL and KRKT. These successful radio stations are media sponsors of our Bridge of Hope Dinner Auction each spring. We are grateful to utilize these successful local radio partners in airing messages about Albany Helping Hands’ mission.

The second anniversary fundraiser campaign for our 19th anniversary is scheduled for September

Thank you for the past 18 years of generous donations by individuals, businesses and the
community, which have been converted into blessings for many.
