Albany, OR 97322
The market is located next to the Chicken "Ranch" at the Albany Helping Hands Farm, one third mile east of the Albany Coastal Farm and Ranch on the Santiam Highway also referred to as Highway 20.
We are on the south side of the highway, the same side as Coastal and Walmart just past (east) of the light at Goldfish Farm Road on the way out of Albany headed to Lebanon.
Albany Helping Hands has been raising pasture-grown chickens on the non-profit organization’s farm and garden market site one third mile east of Coastal Farm and Ranch on Highway 20 for over two years.
The Pasture-Raised Chickens are tender, juicy and plump with flavor. The free range chickens are one of locally grown meal fixings that can be purchased at the Albany Helping Hands Farm.
The pasture raised birds are frozen fresh, the tender, plump fowl range in weight from 4 to 7 pounds each.
The chickens are priced well below market value (generally from $4.99 to $6.99 a pound) at $16.00 each (while supplies last).
In addition to the Pasture Raised Chicken Farm, Albany Helping Hands also provides training and employment for shelter guests operating a Thrift Store, Farm, Keep Warm Woodlot, Vehicle Resale and Estate Cleanup units.
Donations are greatly appreciated and can be made at the shelter at 619 Ninth Avenue SE, Albany.
