Brand new: An Interview with Pat Loy, long time Volunteer Teacher for the Continuing Education/ GED Program at Albany Helping Hands.
Her interview will be aired on Valley Talk, a live local talk show produced and aired on Albany’s 1580 KGAL.
The show will air Monday, September 9th, 2019 from 9:30 to 10:00 am.
Emma Deane, New Farm Manager
Albany Helping Hands Executive Director John Leon recently announced the appointment of Emma Deane as Albany Helping Hands Farm Manager.
Emma will oversee the U-Haul, Woodlot, Christmas Tree Lots, and other farm operations located at the “Farm” at 5050 Santiam Highway SE, one-third mile east of Walmart and Coastal Stores in east Albany on Highway 20.

The Bailey Home
The new “Bailey Home” a place for single women with children to call home is now open and is at capacity, occupied by single mothers with children.
The Bailey Home, a former church, at 103 East Main, Albany (the corner of 1st and Main) is now a six-bedroom home with 2 1/2 baths, a full kitchen with accessories, and two washers and dryers.
With the addition of the latest two families consisting of mothers with children, the Bailey Home is now at capacity.

The Bailey Home is named to commemorate Albany Helping Hands founder, the late Pastor Les Bailey. His faith in the Lord and Love for people molded his vision in the building of the organization.

An Apartment fire resulted in a need of housing for a 76-year-old Sweet Home woman.
She had worked hard and has a pension, but was without a place to live for the first time in her life.

Inez Neal was the recipient of the "Spirit of Pastor Bailey" award for Volunteer of Year.
Inez, a longtime volunteer at the Albany Helping Hands Thrift Store was presented the award at the Bridge of Hope Dinner Auction on April 23, 2019.
