Christmas Tree Income a Win

Albany Helping Hands would like to thank all that purchased a Christmas Tree or Holiday Wreath from any of the four tree lot locations during the past holiday season.  In what has become an annual tradition, the Albany Helping Hands Christmas Tree Lots were a big fund raising success per John Donovan, Development Director for Albany Helping Hands. 

We also give special thanks to the generous Christmas Tree growers who provided the inventory for the seasonal operation. Thank you to Shelter Guests, AHH staff and volunteers for stepping up manning the four retail locations.
The community also stepped up and contributed to the Holiday Fundraising Campaign adding needed resources for ongoing shelter operations.   Albany Helping Hands would like to thank all who contributed. Your donations are greatly appreciated.  I

Thank you to the members of Albany Mennonite Church who working hard constructing holiday wreaths that were sold at the tree lots.

Thank you, Albany Public Library, for the utilization of parking lot for display and sale of the Christmas trees.
The Albany Helping Hands tree and wreath sales are one of the multiple business entities run by the organization.  The proceeds fund critical community missions, including providing training and employment for shelter guests. Other business divisions operated by Albany Helping Hands are the Thrift Store, the Keep Warm Wood Lot, Chicken Ranch, Estate Cleanup and Farm (in cooperation with Linn-Benton Food Share. 
The eighteen-year-old 501 (c) 3 non-profit, independent faith-based organization provides twenty-four hour, seven day per week, emergency shelter services for the homeless.  Albany Helping Hands also provides three meals a day, 365 days a year serving over 80,000 meals annually to homeless, low income in the community. Everyone is welcome, even those not registered with the shelter. Helping Hands also offers GED Training at the new GED Training Classroom, housing searches, transitional jobs programs, mental health referrals, counseling, clothing, household needs, furniture and more for those in need in our community.
