Tree Income Aids Shelter
Albany Helping Hands would like to thank all who purchased a Christmas tree or holiday wreath from any of the four tree lot locations during the past holiday season.
In what has become an annual tradition, the Albany Helping Hands Christmas tree lots were a big fundraising success.
We also give special thanks to the generous Christmas tree growers who provided the inventory for the seasonal operation. Thank you to Shelter Guests, AHH staff and volunteers for stepping up and staffing the four retail locations.
The community also stepped up and contributed to the Holiday Fundraising Campaign, adding needed resources for ongoing shelter operations. Albany Helping Hands would like to thank all who contributed.
We give special recognition to several donors who made large cash contributions to the organization.
Thank you to the members of Albany Mennonite Church, who worked hard constructing holiday wreaths that were sold at the tree lots.
Thank you, Albany Public Library, for the use of your parking lot for display and sale of the Christmas trees.
The Albany Helping Hands tree and wreath sales are one of the multiple business entities run by the organization. The proceeds fund critical community missions, including providing training and employment for shelter guests.
The organization provides 24-hour, seven-day-per-week emergency shelter services for the homeless. Albany Helping Hands also provides three meals a day, 365 days a year.
Thank you for the generous donations by individuals, businesses and the community that have been converted into blessings for many.
